Simply (especially for friend James Phillips) - To provide an on-line site where you can read about the good news that is happening in our wonderful world, to find a place of inspiration, that when you leave you will hopefully feel uplifted - even have a smile!

In more detail - We realise that there is a lot of news in the world about war, disaster, crime, disease, famine, genocide etc - man's inhumanity to man…and much of it gets reported, in fact so much so that our news broadcasts are just full of it.  In fact they so seldom report any good news, that you could believe that all that's happening in our world is bad.

However, we strongly believe that there is more unreported good happening than we can even imagine……from the simple good of people helping each other, to major advances in technology, to generous charitable donations, that are beneficial to all mankind.  Just as magnificent scenery can be awesome, so there are simple and great acts of kindness and generosity that are equally or even more inspiring, instead of a stream of bad news that can have exactly the opposite effect.

What we concentrate our attention on is what we experience most of in our daily lives.

We are a group of people, sponsored by some Companies (for principle not financial gain) who collectively desire to give you an alternative place to go for good news that inspires rather than troubles you.

We do not have a "Pollyanna" approach, that tries to deny the "other" news exists, we know it does but we also believe that you have ample avenues to find that type of news, and there is no way we could compete - so now there is an alternative.

We know there must be positive news stories in places like Iraq, Darfur to mention just two, but do they get reported?   We want to hear about and publish those stories on line and so we welcome help in finding them.  There is a button under the headline picture "Add good news story" click on there, register with us and then submit your good news story to the Editor.
